You can sign up for Dalea in under a minute. There is no credit card and no email allow-list; the free tier is intended for individuals and small teams to use indefinitely.

Open dalea.app/register. Enterprise customers with a dedicated tenant should use the URL provided by their administrator.
Pick how you want to sign in
Two options, both valid:
- Email + password: universal, requires email verification.
- OAuth: Google or Microsoft. Fastest. Click a provider, approve.
Verify your email (if password)
You'll get a one-time link by email. Click it to land back in the app, signed in.
Answer the sign-up questionnaire
Dalea asks for your professional role, what you mainly want to do and your team size, then asks you to name your first organisation and workspace. Both name fields are pre-filled from your display name (Your name's Organization and Your name's Workspace); edit them or accept them.
You're in
Nothing is created until you submit the questionnaire. Submitting it provisions:
- your organisation on the free tier
- a first workspace inside it, using the name you chose
- a Frontpage dashboard on the workspace home, laid out as a single Morning Briefing widget and editable like any other dashboard
The first time you land on the workspace home, a "Welcome to Dalea!" card sits above the dashboard. Its Start Tour button runs the getting-started tutorial; Maybe Later dismisses it.

Add a passkey once you're in

Passkeys are a sign-in method for an existing account, not a sign-up path: enrol one from Settings → Security after your first sign-in, and from then on the login page lets you sign in with it instead of your password. They eliminate password phishing entirely and they sync via your platform keychain. On macOS that's iCloud Keychain; on Android, Google Password Manager; on Windows, Windows Hello.

What if your team already uses Dalea?

Your admin invites you by email. An invitation carries an organisation role plus the workspace roles you are being granted, so accepting one puts you in the org and seats you in the right workspaces in a single step.

Sign up with the address you were invited on and the pending invitation is waiting for you in the sign-up questionnaire: confirm which teams to join and it is applied when you submit. If you were already signed up, the link in the invitation email opens a standalone invitation page with Accept invitation and Decline buttons. Either way you also get a private workspace of your own to practise in.

Two-factor authentication

Optional but recommended on shared lab accounts. Configure TOTP from Settings → Security → Two-Factor Authentication. The setup ends by showing your backup codes: each one works once, and you can regenerate the set later from the same panel, which invalidates every previous code. Store them in a password manager.
