Sign up by email, OAuth or passkey.
You can sign up for Dalea in under a minute. There is no credit card and no email allow-list; the free tier is intended for individuals and small teams to use indefinitely.
- Go to the sign-up pagedalea.app/register
Open dalea.app/register. Enterprise customers with a dedicated tenant should use the URL provided by their administrator.
- Pick how you want to sign in
Three options, all valid:
- Email + password — universal, requires email verification.
- OAuth — Google, GitHub, or Microsoft. Fastest. Click a provider, approve.
- Passkey — WebAuthn. Pair your device on first sign-in; subsequent sign-ins are biometric only.
- Verify your email (if password)
You'll get a one-time link by email. Click it to land back in the app, signed in.

The first time you sign in, Dalea automatically creates:
- your Personal organisation (free tier)
- a default workspace inside it (named "Personal" — you can rename)
- a welcome document nudging you towards the Learn hub
Passkeys eliminate password phishing entirely and they sync via your platform keychain.
On macOS that's iCloud Keychain; on Android, Google Password Manager; on Windows,
Windows Hello. Add a passkey from Settings → Security.
What if your team uses SSO?
If your organisation has been provisioned with an academic or enterprise tier, your admin will share a provisioning code. Enter it during sign-up to land directly in the org's first workspace with the right role pre-assigned. SSO via SAML/OIDC follows the same flow but skips the password step.
Two-factor authentication
Optional but recommended on shared lab accounts. Configure TOTP from
Settings → Security → Two-factor authentication. Recovery codes are
single-use and shown only once — store them in a password manager.
